Michael Tschanz is a veteran executive and applied technology expert who spent his career at the intersection of IT, OT, and engineering. He recently retired from Disney, where he led the team that developed the optimization algorithms, servo controllers, and custom robotics for some of the world's most complex animatronic and ride systems.
A key leader in Disney's patented digital twin and predictive maintenance initiatives, Michael is an expert in leveraging data from physical systems to drive business outcomes. His design work can be seen in Mission: SPACE®, Toy Story Mania!®, and the velocity profiles for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ worldwide. He holds a master’s in electrical engineering and began his career developing precision guidance algorithms at Texas Instruments.
